Detroit Free Press: Content Provider Acquires Properties

The Bingham Farms-based company that produces digital content for its 500-plus websites for outdoors enthusiasts has acquired 36 digital properties from a Texas firm that builds and fosters online communities.

The largest website Carbon Media is adding to its lineup is Homesteading Today, which helps people with advice and best practices about living self-sufficiently on topics such as agriculture and homemaking. It has close to 48,000 active participants and reached more than 750,000 unique visitors monthly, according to Carbon media.

“Carbon Media Group is committed to creating, curating and sharing the most compelling content for a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts,” said CEO Hyaat Chaudhary about the deal with San Marcos, Texas-based Group Builder. “From fishers to farmers, this acquisition further enhances our position as the leading provider of digital content focused on the outdoors, action sports and agriculture.”
