The launch takes place in conjunction with the Ag PhD Field Day event in Baltic, South Dakota on July 28th. AGDAILY.com aims to provide production farming and rural lifestyle audiences with engaging and innovative content that covers a broad scope of interests and formats. The agriculture website brings a modern style and sensibility to telling the stories of one of the world’s oldest and most technologically advanced industries.
Building off the success of Carbon Media Group’s outdoor-focused daily news site, Outdoorhub.com, the AGDAILY approach will focus on providing today’s farmers with a variety of news, thought-provoking stories and social-friendly content, including videos, infographics and quizzes. As managing editor Ryan Tipps puts it, “AGDAILY is committed to the traditional needs of farmers while speaking thoughtfully to the next generation in agricultural production.”
The website is built on a fully responsive platform that caters to today’s mobile-first content consumer. “We set out to do something different in the agriculture news space,” said Daniel Seliger, EVP, Content, for Carbon Media Group. “We want to make sure that whether you’re in the field on your phone or in the office at your desk you had a compelling user experience and truly relevant content at your fingertips.”
The website’s launch will take place at Ag PhD Field Day, hosted by Darren and Brian Hefty (The Hefty Bros.). The event, which features demos, educational sessions, and guest speakers, draws several thousand production farmers from about 40 states across the country each year.
