2025 Carbon Media Fishing Survey Results

We recently conducted a survey to better understand our 9 million+ fishing enthusiast audience. In the survey, we asked questions related to how often they fish, how much they spend in a typical year on gear, supplies, and trips, the types of water they fish in, and boat ownership.
Here are some key data points collected from the survey:

- 70% report owning a boat

- When asked about the types of water that our anglers fish in, the results showed the following:
- Rivers (75%)
- Sea/Ocean (51%)
- In-land Lakes (46%)
- Great Lakes (17%)
- Ponds (3%)
